Digital EDvolution TCA in the Hague

Digitalisation in school education final event TCA (Training and Cooperation Activity) in the Hague was successfully realised last week between 6 and 8 March 2024. The event was organised by the Dutch NA, co-organised by the HU01 in the framework of a 3-year long-term collaboration of NAs (CZ01, EE01, LU01 and MT01 as co-financing partners and some NAs (DE03, IE01, SK01) as organising partners).

Digital EDvolution - Empowering school educators in the digital age was a thematic seminar, a closing conference, to which we invited participants and speakers who had also taken part in previous TCAs within the framework of the LTA as well as some newcomers interested in launching new projects in the topic.

One of the main goals of this LTA has been to support ongoing digital projects in schools (KA2 SE) and we hope that our participants, active project holders have been influenced by what they have learned at our 13 TCAs, and they were able to move forward. At the same time, new beneficiaries of the E+ Programme, who wanted to learn about this topic in order to create a relevant partnership and start a project, also participated, as well as other project owners, primarily from the VET and HE sectors, who have digital good examples, so that we can learn from them as well. At the TCA, we presented the results of the activities carried out in the LTA to the participants, as well as introduced them to the parts of the SALTO Platform that are interesting for beneficiaries. Furthermore, we introduced the thematic background and goals of the LTA to our participants, with the facilitation of Arjana Blazic, digital expert of the DigLTA, we introduced our eTwinning group titled Digitally empowered teachers, to which we would like to invite all participants. We encouraged and keep encouraging everyone interested in the topic to join this eTwinning group and join our webinars. Please, join us on 19 March where our guest speaker will be Marijana Smolcec talking about digitally inclusive tools in the classroom!

Our wonderful speakers (Remco Pijpers from Kennisnet, Pasi Silander from SALTO Digital, Tibor Prievara and Éva Tóth, school teachers from Hungary, Kornélia Lohynova, digital wellbeing expert from Slovakia, and Jasper Kok, school principal from the Netherlands, Sara Southam, quality assurance expert of the LTA) touched on a number of important topics (digital literacy, AI in education, digital well-being, digital inclusion, project-based learning, etc. - all topics that the partnership focused on during the LTA), and we were able to participate in study trips, too (we could choose from three institutions: 't Palet in the Hague, a primary school with an interactive gymnastic hall, Da Vinci College in Leiden, a technasium type of secondary school focusing on digital skill development, and Thomas More Hogeschool in Rotterdam, an innovation lab of Thomas More Teacher Academy).
