TCA Description

Themes and goals:

As part of the LTA activity entitled “Inclusion for Newcomers” (RO01_0389_LTA_2022), coordinated by the Romanian NA, the EL01 NA (IKY) would like to announce a contact seminar focusing on preparing participants to develop small scale partnerships (KA210), addressing newcomers and small and less experienced organisations in the field of School Education, VET and Adult Education, in the framework of the Inclusion and Diversity Priority. Prior to the event, a virtual meeting will be organized in order to give newcomers information about the Erasmus+ Programme opportunities.

During the event, training on how to prepare a good quality KA2-Small scale project application as well as networking activities between participants will be offered.

Expected results:

Participants will learn how to prepare a good quality KA2 small scale application focusing on inclusion and diversity.

Namely, they will receive training about the following:

  • How to analyse their organisation’s needs and set strategic goals
  • How to find adequate partners
  • How to set inclusive selection criteria for participants
  • How to foresee inclusive preparation measures for the participation of students with fewer opportunities
  • How to set qualitative and quantitative targets to monitor sufficiently the implementation of their project
  • How to embed inclusive communication measures and ensure project results are embedded in their organisation’s every day work.
Additional information:

The contact seminar will take place on June 20th to 23rd, in Ioannina, a historic city located in Northwestern Greece. Ioannina is one of the Greek towns that have received a large number of refugees during the past years and is considered as a remote geographical area, surrounded by mountains, close to the border with Albania. There are direct flights from Athens International Αirport to Ioannina International Airport “King Pyrros”.

The Hellenic NA/IKY will cover the costs for accommodation and food for three days (20th to 22nd) and also the costs of the cultural programmes and the relevant local transportation that will be provided.

The Hellenic NA/IKY will offer 60 places in total for participants, among which 10 places will be given to Greek participants and 10 places to Romanian Participants. 40 places will be distributed among other interested NAs. Please note that priority will be given to partners within the LTA "Inclusion for Newcomers): ΙΤ01, IT02, CZ01, RS01.

In addition, 5 places will be offered to NA staff. NA staff will be expected to actively participate as facilitators among the 6 different working groups that will be created.

Participants are expected to have a good knowledge of English language and will have to participate actively in all sessions of the contact seminar.

Rationale and background:

In 2021, EC launched the cross-sectoral Strategy for Inclusion and Diversity, based on the Implementation guidelines Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Inclusion and Diversity Strategy.
In this context, each NA created its own national strategy or action plan, adapted to its own national realities.

Starting from this, RO NA proposes the LTA addressing inclusion for newcomers from E&T sectors (SE, VET, AE).
The very first series of events will focus on preparing the participants to be able to develop qualitative small-scale partnerships (KA2) projects, addressing newcomers and small and less experienced organizations addressing inclusion and/or working with vulnerable target groups.
In this line, for each event we expect to have on board participants with none or minimum developed project management skills  in order to go  through the process of project cycle management and as well to understand and internalize the inclusiveness of their future Erasmus+ project.
In most cases, each of NA could use TCA - both regular activities and LTAs- as main tool to foster inclusion at national level, in an international context.

The next phases will also tackle Short-term projects for mobilities.

Challenges:

Different national realities within LTA partners.

Planned Activities:

2022
May - August

National mapping of newcomers or less experienced organizations
Promotion of general aspects about Erasmus+ and the 2 KAs managed by NAs
Promotion of international event to be hosted by RO NA
September 2022
International TC with contact seminar elements on writing small-scale partnerships
3 online support coach and mentoring sessions prior October's deadline. June 2023

International TC with contact seminar elements on writing small-scale partnerships in Greece

2023 and 2024 similar TCs for Short-term projects for mobilities and small-scale partnerships.

Expected results:

Promotion of Erasmus+ programme as a tool for inclusion among E&T organizations;
Increased quality of future projects coming from small organization with no experience in Erasmus+;
Providing the space and context for networking between participants to share ideas and inclusive approaches, to find answers and solutions to the same needs, to find partners for future initiatives and projects.
