“Schools go green and digital – and Erasmus+ supports teaching excellence!” - A European Conference on the challenges of schools in the in the face of climate change and digitalization
Summary of TCA outcomes
At the European conference "Schools go green and digital - and Erasmus+ supports teaching excellence!" more than 200 teachers and school representatives from 26 countries explored how the Erasmus programme can support schools and teachers in this process of change.
During the workshops and in the exhibition 54 Erasmus projects were presented, highlighting the important contribution that European projects can make to meeting the challenges.
In addition, experts provided important information and impulses on future-oriented learning in virtual worlds, competences about sustainability in education, the chances of eTwinning for future teachers and how to build resilience to disinformation in a digital media age. The conference also provided a platform for networking among participants and shaping future project plans.
During the conference we aimed at a mix of theory and praxis, please find our programme uploaded and under this link you will find the documentation of the conference with the presentations in the plenary and in the workshop sessions.
After the conference we sent a feedback-link to all participants. The result was a high satisfaction of all participants. Points of criticism were included as lessons learnt into the following events of the NA DE (03).
Conference participants:
- learnt from the Lie Detectors and get first-hand experience on the topic of “fake news”
- received pedagogical ideas for the classroom
- learnt from Erasmus+ best practice projects in the field of sustainability and digitalisation and developed ideas for projects on these topics
- acquired knowledge how to apply for a Erasmus+ school mobility project
- learnt how to start a virtual project on the eTwinning platform
- could be connected to teachers in other programme countries with similar interests who could be partners in future projects
- understand what makes a good quality project (concepts for learning mobility and blended mobility, thematic cooperation projects on the eTwinning-platform)
