Long-term Activity Info
Since the
beginning of the Erasmus+ Programme and its predecessors, long-term mobility
has had a proven impact, both among the participants and within the
institutions, as well as in certain areas of education policy and in different
sectors of education and training.
In the School
Education sector, the pilot action of long-term pupil mobility (Comenius Pupil
Mobility), which was partially developed in the Lifelong Learning Program until
2013, had a clear but limited success, as not all countries took part in, which
created a subsequent lack of continuity. The maintenance of this activity
during the 2014-2020 period, framed in Partnerships projects (Strategic
Partnerships first and / or School Exchange Partnerships since 2018) has been
complex and the numbers of participants have been almost anecdotal in many
Programme Countries.
With the
arrival of the structure of the new 2021-2027 Programme, the long-term pupil
mobility could play a relevant and highly visible role within mobility projects
in school education. This long-term TCA, focused on the Long-term learning
mobility of school pupils activity, aims to promote this high-impact activity,
to support the link with educational policies in education (recognition, ...),
to favor the development of the Erasmus+ Programme as well as to ensure its development
in terms of quality among educational institutions.
·
Enhancing links to European policy cooperation in the
field of Education.
·
Influence national practices in the concerned fields.
· Support to activities aiming at increasing the quality
of programme implementation, notably the participation and accessibility of the
programmes, as well as community-building and networking between organisations.
