Summary of Outcomes – “Empowering Young Voices: The Erasmus+ Journey to Active Citizenship” TCA

The TCA was highly successful, receiving exceptionally positive feedback from the 45 participating teachers from across Europe. Both the online workshop (4 Nov 2025) and the in-person programme (19–21 Nov 2025) created a strong foundation for collaboration, confidence-building, and professional growth.

1. Achievement of Aims & Objectives

Participants unanimously agreed that the objectives were met—and often exceeded. Teachers gained:

• A deeper understanding of how Erasmus+ mobility supports democratic engagement.

• Practical strategies for integrating active citizenship into teaching.

• Clear guidance on Erasmus+ (KA1/KA2) and eTwinning opportunities.

• Confidence to initiate new partnerships and apply for funding.

2. Engagement, Methodology & Facilitation

The programme’s UDL-aligned design encouraged active participation, creativity, and inclusion.
Facilitation—particularly by Dave Kelly—was repeatedly described as energetic, inspiring, and transformative. Teachers noted:

• Highly engaging activities.

• A safe, motivating learning environment.

• Methods they can directly transfer into their own classrooms.

3. Networking & Collaboration

A major success was the creation of a strong European network:

• Multiple opportunities for group mixing led to effective, organic partnerships.

• Teachers reported meeting future project partners and forming communities of shared values.

• Activities like the Dragons’ Den helped solidify project ideas and receive NA feedback.

4. Professional Learning & Classroom Impact

Participants left with:

• Concrete tools and learner-centred methods to implement immediately.

• Increased commitment to inclusion, student voice, digital innovation, and democratic education.

• Plans to share learning with colleagues, creating a wider ripple effect in their schools.

5. Organisational Support & Environment

The support from the Léargas team was highly praised:

• Staff were approachable, present, and supportive.

• The venue, structure, and overall organisation contributed to a smooth and positive experience.

Overall Impact

The TCA empowered teachers both personally and professionally. Participants returned home motivated, confident, and ready to develop new Erasmus+ projects that promote active citizenship. Many described the TCA as exceptional, beyond expectations, and the best training experience they had attended.
