PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Short introduction:
For me, education aims to contribute to every child finding a place in this world where it can live happily. I have worked in a variety of roles within education. Teaching in the primary was wonderful. After that, I became a headteacher. First, of a small primary school, then of a bigger one. Fuelling the teams to innovate and create high-quality education. For 8 years now I work as a managing director, leading a group of 9 primary schools in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Next to that I give workshops and trainings about a variety of topics and represent Hundred.org.

Comment (for Key Action(s)):
I have a strong and long-standing professional connection to the Erasmus+ Programme through both Key Action 1 and Key Action 2. Next to that I participated in a university of Saxion led KA3 project, called Voices. As a coordinator, I led the KA2 project iBUILD IT, focused on innovation in English language teaching, differentiation, and stronger progression between primary and secondary education. Before that, I led the KA2 IMPACT project, which brought together partners from six countries to exchange and transfer good practices.
Within OPO Hof van Twente (opohvt.nl), Erasmus+ is firmly embedded in our strategy. We hold an Erasmus+ accreditation for KA1 and are highly active in staff mobility: more than 100 teachers have travelled across Europe for professional development. In the past year, we also enabled one class from each of our schools to spend a week at a partner school abroad, which is quite unique in primary education.
At present, we have submitted a major KA2 application for the WOOFF project (wooff.education), which focuses on the structural use of school dogs in education to strengthen pupils’ social skills and executive functioning. In addition, I regularly deliver training sessions and workshops on developing strong KA2 applications and preparing a successful KA1 accreditation.
For me, Erasmus+ is not only a funding programme, but a practical framework for sustainable school development, internationalisation, and professional learning across Europe.

Additional information:
My expertise in digital transformation focuses on leading meaningful innovation in education, not by adding technology for its own sake, but by using digitalisation (including AI) as a bridge to better learning, stronger teaching, and sustainable school improvement.
Using my Spiral Model for Education, I support schools in iterative cycles of reflection, experimentation, and growth, integrating digitalisation in a meaningful way while enabling parallel learning for teachers and students and building long-term capacity for digital change.
I also bring hands-on experience with AI implementation in schools, including Lexie, a state-of-the-art holographic teaching assistant.
Next to that, I love to give workshops about:
-Innovation within education
-Multilingualism
-Educational leadership
-The Erasmus+ program
-Highly gifted children
-Embedding Internationalisation in education
-Teaching English as a second language
