The main goal of the event is to deepen the understanding of the Erasmus+ programme priority “Environment and fight against climate change” for successful practices of green transition within Erasmus+ 2021-2027 projects to support sustainable growth and environmentally responsible behavior.
Through networking, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences, participants will gain new knowledge and experience about sustainability and environmental issues.
The networking will start with an exciting role game on climate discussions. Speakers on various green practices and sustainability will share their stories and know-how. Participants will have a chance to earn points for their team for carbon footprint estimation of different products and activities. We will add to participants understanding, evaluation, and communication skills about energy consumption, transportation, waste, bioeconomy, and life cycle assessment. Finally, you will be invited to experience a site-visit.
To deepen the comprehension of the priority “Environment and fight against climate change” within the Erasmus+ 2021-2027, covering EU Policy framework, support mechanisms, guidelines, international and national contexts, useful resources and practices for the implementation of green transition within the Erasmus+.
Participants of TCA will:
- learn about the Erasmus+ programme;
- learn about the Erasmus+ priority “Environment and fight against climate change” in the context of preparing and implementing Erasmus+ projects in different sectors;
- learn about different support mechanisms and practices for the implementation of the green dimension within the Erasmus+;
- develop new contacts and partnerships;
- exchange ideas and discuss future cooperation.
! TCA is for all sectors – SCH, VET, HED and ADU and Key Actions: KA1 and KA2.
The seminar will take place in Riga.
National agency will cover accommodation for 2 nights from March 20 - 22, 2024. Any additional nights need to be covered by the participants.
Preliminary programme:
- Wednesday, March 20: start around 17:00 with networking and dinner.
- Thursday, March 21: full day programme, including workshops, social event and dinner.
- Friday, March 22: half day programme/study visit ending with lunch around 13:00
Partners and participants
- representatives from all education and training sectors: school education (SCH), vocational education and training (VET), adult education (ADU), and higher education (HED) - current final beneficiaries as well as newcomers in the Erasmus+ and potential applicants;
- representatives from Green Erasmus+ support organizations;
- having good knowledge of English (at least B.2).
