Transversal Skills and Wellbeing through Erasmus+ mobilities
Main Info
TCA Description
Transversal Skills and Wellbeing TCA is targeted at VET organisations that are looking to explore opportunities and develop partnerships for new or expanded mobility programmes involving VET learners and staff. Participants should be planning to submit an Erasmus+ Key Action 1 proposal in response to one of the upcoming deadlines. The Transversal Skills and Wellbeing through Erasmus+ is a two-day event exploring transversal skills development as a subset of Wellbeing and self-care. These skills are important and helpful for mobility participants as they navigate their new environment and host culture. Technical learning is important, but participants are often required to use a range of skills that go beyond this. They need to be able to find their way around a new place, organise accommodation, communicate in a new language environment and work in intercultural teams. This requires a high level of transversal skills competence. These skills greatly assist the individual to settle into their placement thus enhancing the positive impact of same. A competency framework and toolkit for process-based learning will frame the work of this TCA.
This seminar will also provide insights into funding opportunities for learner and staff mobility in VET, providing examples of good practice and opportunities for developing new partnership with Irish and international participants.
