LinguaLearners:-European Classrooms
Main Info
TCA Description
Around 10% of students in EU schools speak a different language at home than at school, highlighting the need for inclusive and multilingual classroom practices. It has become increasingly important for schools to adopt policies that value and support the development of students' entire linguistic repertoire.
This contact seminar will emphasize classroom practices that support both home languages and school languages. Participants will explore examples of Erasmus+ projects by visiting a school in Ireland and will learn about the eTwinning platform for building networks, connecting, sharing, and fostering future international collaboration.
Key Highlights:
- Classroom Practices: Learn strategies to support both home languages and school languages.
- Study Visit: Visit a local school to see successful inclusive language practices in action.
- eTwinning Networking: Connect with other European schools through eTwinning, supporting students with migrant or refugee backgrounds.
- Erasmus+ Opportunities: Discover how Erasmus+ can provide professional development and school mobility programs to help teachers.
- Networking: Meet other Erasmus+ teachers and share strategies for supporting multilingual students.
- Practical Ideas: Get new ideas for implementing inclusive language practices in your classroom.
This seminar will provide educators with the tools and support needed to create inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students.
