The 3-day contact seminar focuses on how artificial intelligence is reshaping learning, teaching, and international cooperation, through the lens of digital pedagogy—the thoughtful integration of digital tools (including AI) into teaching and learning to support pedagogical goals, strengthen digital competences, and build critical digital thinking while addressing opportunities and risks.
The programme supports participants in moving from ideas to concrete Erasmus+ cooperation by:
- Exploring EdTech innovation and ethics/safety questions around AI in school education and showcasing best practices from Estonia (e.g., AI Leap)
- Discussing how AI can be meaningfully applied in teaching and learning (practical use cases, conditions, limitations)
- Turning shared priorities into impact-oriented KA2 Cooperation Partnership ideas, with structured partner-finding and design workshops
- This contact seminar is designed for school leaders and/or school project managers (i.e., people who translate strategic needs into partnership projects).

NB! This TCA is part of the LTA 2025-2027 “Digital Pedagogy in the Age of AI “coordinated by the Estonian Agency for Erasmus+.
- Participants gain practical insights into digital pedagogy, EdTech innovation, and key questions around the ethical and safe use of AI in school education, while exploring practical examples from Estonia (e.g., AI Leap).
- Improved awareness of how digital pedagogy and AI can be integrated into education practices.
- Increased capacity to develop high-quality, impact-oriented KA2 Cooperation Partnerships, with clearer objectives, activities, outcomes, and impact logic.

This TCA is for you, if you:
- Work in (upper) secondary / high school education (14+) and are involved in shaping learning, teaching, or school development linked to digitalisation.
- Are responsible for - or contribute to - Erasmus+ cooperation projects (planning, writing, coordinating) and want to develop a KA2 Cooperation Partnership idea.
- Want practical input on how AI can be meaningfully used in teaching and learning, beyond hype, and with a clear digital pedagogy angle.
- Are looking for reliable European partners and value structured formats for networking and partner finding.
- Want to leave with something concrete: a draft project concept, a partner team, and a clearer next-step plan towards a KA2 application.
- This TCA combines real examples, hands-on project building, and structured networking to help you move from shared challenges to concrete cooperation.
The Estonian NA will cover accommodation for 2 nights (20–22 May). Any additional nights must be booked individually and paid by participants.
The contact seminar will take place in Tallinn. The exact venue and practical details will be confirmed and shared separately, but it is essential that ALL participants arrive on time! The seminar starts on May 20th (approximately 11 AM) and ends around 4.30 PM on May 22nd. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly.
NB! A mandatory virtual preparation session will take place a few weeks before the event (on May 11, 14.30-16.00 CET) to help participants prepare and align on key practicalities. Further information will follow.
IMPORTANT: Participation is expected for the full programme from start to end. Participants are kindly asked not to arrive late or leave early. Please plan your travel accordingly.

The contact seminar is open to school project managers, school leaders, and key staff involved in cooperation projects who are interested in digital pedagogy and AI in school education and in developing Erasmus+ KA2 Cooperation Partnerships.
Priority will be given to representatives from (upper) secondary and high schools (SCH field; learners aged 14+).

Long-term Activity Info
The aim of the LTA "Digital Pedagogy in the Age of AI" is to support the development of digital competences and the purposeful and methodical use of digital tools, learning materials, and content in teaching and learning within the School Education (SCH) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) sectors. Additionally, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, this LTA seeks to equip education leaders and teachers in SCH and VET with the knowledge and skills to integrate AI-driven solution effectively and ethically into teaching and learning. Building on previous LTAs, this initiative seeks to create a structured, evidence-driven approach to digital pedagogy and AI in quality TCAs through strong collaboration among participating National Agencies (NAs).
On the SCH and VET sector level:
Raising awareness and fostering digital competences among educators remains a challenge, as individualized learning pathways require tailored support. The development and sustainability of a high-quality digital education ecosystem need stronger leadership and systemic transformation efforts in SCH and VET institutions. It is critical to address the gap in digital skills and access to technology to ensure equal learning opportunities, but it is equally important to acknowledge that institutions or local governments may not have the resources needed for closing these gaps. Additionally, ensuring digital well-being and tackling disinformation remain ongoing sector-wide concerns.
On LTA management level:
Foster stronger cooperation among National Agencies to drive digital transition within Erasmus+. Enhance collaboration among participating NAs to effectively leverage existing research and resources, improve coordination in organizing TCAs.
In 2025:
12-14 March – a face-to-face partners’ kick-off meeting in Tallinn.
A desk research analysis of the current state of digital pedagogy and AI in Erasmus+ programs, utilizing various data sources—including the three existing Long-Term Activities (LTAs)—to assess their findings and document best practices within Erasmus+ and other national programs.
10-12 December – Thematic seminar on Blended Mobility for SCH and VET KA1 Beneficiaries. How to seamlessly combine physical mobility and virtual learning for a more impactful learning experience. Learning from best practices.
Activities 2026-2027: dissemination of research results, webinars in cooperation with eTwinning and EITA, 8 TCAs and a final conference.
- Improved quality of Erasmus+ projects on digital pedagogy and AI.
- Mainstreaming of best practices in digital pedagogy and AI and wider use of Erasmus+ project results.
- Insights from a comprehensive analysis of digital pedagogy and AI in Erasmus+ programs inform best practices and guide future improvements across initiatives.
