Social responsibility is reflected in the impacts of policies, decisions and activities on society and the environment, exercised through ethical and transparent behaviour. Diversity, equity, equality and non-discrimination are among the aspects that democratic societies should seek to attain in order to honour their social commitments. Institutions are the first place where inequality might occur as a result of gender, disability, educational difficulties, economic disadvantage or different ethnic or migrant backgrounds. According to these observations, a goal is to understand the added value of corporate social responsibility in social inclusion in the contexto of HE and AE institutions. This TCA intends also to contribute to the discussion on the inclusion component of the new programme, to identify potential synergies between the AE and HE sectors that could lead to new cooperation schemes in favour of inclusion, to have the opportunity to think about the meaning of inclusion associated to the CRS as a tool for the improvement of social inclusion.
