LEAGUE OF SKILLS – mobility and cooperation projects as a tool for development of international skills competitions
Main Info
TCA Description
International skills competitions are more than just skills competitions. Both Euroskills and Worldskills constitute a spectacular promotion of professions for young people, showcasing and inspiring world-class excellence in skills and introducing youth to a variety of careers. Within both schemes, skills competitions enthusiasts, industry, governments, and educators connect to exchange information and best practices on industry and professional education. The main focus is to highlight the power of skills competitions as a promotional instrument for a skilled future, and to innovate vocational education programmes.
In each member country, regional and national skills competitions are organised to promote the power of skills and to find the champions that will compete for their nation on the international stage.
WorldSkills Europe promotes skilled careers in 31 Member countries, working with young people, educators, governments, and industries to help prepare the workforce and talent of today for the jobs of the future. From the traditional trades to multi-skilled technology careers in the industry and service sectors, supported by partners, industries, governments, volunteers, and educational institutions, WorldSkills Europe is making a direct impact on raising the level of skills throughout Europe.
The idea of the seminar is to gather a group of vocational skills competition enthusiasts and support them in professionalization of their knowledge and tools within planning and realization of international cooperation projects.
Participants will have a chance to network, cooperate and discuss their approaches as well as to become familiar with the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme in relation to skills competitions.
