Networks at the Centre: Erasmus People as Ambassadors for Participation and EU values

The LTA PEACE+ (Participation Erasmus Alumni for Civic Engagement), coordinated by the IT02 NA INDIRE aims at improving young people and citizens’ understanding of European values, raising awareness and sense of belonging to EU. The transnational cooperation project promotes civic engagement and democratic participation as essential keys not only for the future of Erasmus+, but also of the European Union itself.
Several National Agencies developed Ambassadors networks or work in cooperation with existing Erasmus+ Alumni networks (e.g. ESN, Europeers, Euroapprentices etc.) to promote Programme opportunities and encourage newcomers to take part.
The TCA seminar organized by IT02 NA INDIRE empowers the role of Erasmus+ Alumni and Ambassadors as active promoters of European values and civic participation, through peer-to-peer communication, testimonies, actions, events and campaigns.
The TCA will focus on fostering synergies among different networks, with the following goals:
Developing mutual knowledge among Erasmus+ Ambassadors and Alumni networks
Enhancing the role of Erasmus+ Ambassadors in raising awareness of EU values and encouraging civic engagement
Exchanging good practices
Planning actions
Promoting critical thinking
Exploring tools and methods to engage young people in European democratic processes.
Networking: participants will have the opportunity to establish new contacts and strengthen connections with peers from different countries
A wider knowledge of existing Networks around Erasmus+ and how they work
The exchange of experience and good practices will be of inspiration for potential future actions, events, campaigns, also within the frame of Erasmus+ 40th anniversary
Increased awareness of European values, European citizenship among participants
Participants will gain an in-depth insight of participation in democratic life and related theme and will have the chance to explore various themes in different workshops
The event will take place in Rome over four days (14th -17th December 2026) and will bring together representatives from different countries.
The agenda combines plenary sessions and workshops with networking activities and cultural moments, including the opportunity to attend a concert performed by the Erasmus Orchestra.
