How can educators introduce STEM concepts to young learners in a way that is playful, inclusive, and engaging?
This event will explore how circus pedagogy and creative arts-based approaches can support early childhood and primary educators in fostering curiosity, problem-solving, and scientific thinking
The activity is organised in cooperation with Italian and Irish circus and education experts, and is particularly aimed at organisations interested in developing Erasmus+ KA2 Small-Scale Partnerships in the schools sector.
It is ideally suited for professionals working in early years education and primary school teachers working with children aged 4–6 years.
Focus of the Activity
The programme will include:
- Interactive workshops with circus and creative arts practitioners
- Exchange of practices on STEM engagement in early education
- Needs analysis and discussion on research gaps and programme priorities
- Structured networking and partner-finding sessions
- Support for shaping project concepts under Erasmus+ KA2 Small-Scale Partnerships
Objectives
The seminar aims to:
- Support contact-making and partnership building for future Erasmus+ projects
- Explore innovative, non-formal approaches to STEM learning in early years and primary education
- Provide inspiration and practical examples of how circus and creative arts can enrich STEM teaching
- Encourage the development of KA2 Small-Scale Partnership project ideas
- Ideal for newcomers to Erasmus+ or/and less experienced participants.
