ECEC Exchange is targeted towards a broad range of stakeholders involved in the governance, management, development and delivery of ECEC, including policy and decision makers at local, national and European levels, employers, trade unions, social partners and those with a role in initial education and continuing professional development for ECEC staff.

The overall aim of the ECEC Exchange event is to identify and share examples of successful participation of ECEC managers and staff in professional development and peer exchange activities supported by the Erasmus+ programme, whilst also considering possible inhibitors to participation and actions that might need to be taken to positively address these.

By the end of this event, participants will:

-          be aware of the range, type and extent of ECEC provision in the participating countries;

-          understand the complementarity of European and national priorities for the ECEC sector and the role that they might play in helping to deliver professional development for staff;

-          know what opportunities exist within the Erasmus+ programme for financing partnership and mobility as a means of professional development and peer exchange for ECEC managers and staff;

-          recognise the role that transnational collaboration can play in facilitating the professional development of ECEC staff;

Participants in the ECEC Exchange event will further discuss what changes might be needed to allow for the full participation of ECEC managers and staff in the Erasmus+ programme, delivering (where needed) a Call for Action to national and European policy and decision-makers.
