Recognition and Validation of International Activities
Main Info
TCA Description
This TCA explores how learning outcomes from international mobility are assessed and integrated into the learning and professional pathways of VET students and teachers across Europe. Building on best practices, the event focuses on the institutional and policy-level mechanisms that support the validation and recognition of mobility experiences.
For students, the discussions will centre around the academic and professional recognition of learning achieved abroad, the role of the Europass certificate, and how these outcomes influence further studies and employability. For teachers, the focus will be on how mobility experiences (e.g. job shadowing, courses) are taken into account in performance evaluation, career development, and financial or credit-based reward systems.
The overarching goal is not to create a new framework, but to better understand how current learning outcome-based approaches are used and valued in partner countries, thereby contributing to more transparent, effective, and meaningful mobility across Europe.
A comparative overview of how VET institutions across countries assess and recognise learning outcomes gained during international mobility.
Clear insights into how the Europass certificate is perceived and utilised in both education and employment contexts.
A summary of best practices on integrating international mobility into students' academic records and teachers' professional growth frameworks.
Concrete suggestions for improving national-level policies to enhance the recognition of international learning experiences.
Strengthened awareness among stakeholders (including companies) of the value of mobility and transparency in skills recognition.
The event will contribute to reinforcing the role of learning outcomes as a central element in high-quality, impactful mobility.
