Themes and goals:

Validated TCA long title: Erasmus+ thematic seminar on Health in higher education and vocational education and training. How to make the most of Erasmus+ to train tomorrow's health professionals? Boost european mobility of students and staff, strengthen cooperation, support VET and HE institutions development strategy.

Validated TCA short title: How to make the most of Erasmus+ to train tomorrow's health professionals?


This seminar aims to contribute to the long-term work of building a European Health Union. To this end, it proposes the following activities to European institutional stakeholders and training organisation in the medical and paramedical fields:

  • Share a common understanding and vision of training for health professionals in Europe.
  • Share expertise and good practice in implementing international activities in medical and paramedical studies.
  • Taking advantage of Erasmus+ opportunities for mobility (KA1) and cooperation (KA2) in medical and paramedical studies.

 During these 3 days, training organisations in health (medical and paramedical)  will tackle mobility, internationalisation and development strategies through workshops, this seminar aims to show how they can use the Erasmus+ programme to respond to these challenges. With a main question: how to prepare tomorrow's professionals with Erasmus+?

Expected results:

Foster cooperation among European training organisation in health (medical and paramedical)

Foster European mobility for learners and staff in health (medical and paramedical)

Erasmus+ Increase project application (KA1, KA2, Jean Monnet…) in health (medical and paramedical)

Profile of participants:

Target group "Other" => organisation/authorities who manages their mobilities via consortia.

80 external participants expected and over 100 people involved in total: 

  • 25 FR,
  • 55 EU,
  • 10 FR/EU speakers, including 1 European professional facilitator (to be confirmed): red thread, cohesion, ice-breakers, networking facilitation, etc.
  • 10 French staff (organisation).

This thematic seminar with networking activities is aimed at training organisation (or organisation/authorities who manages their mobilities via consortia) in the medical and paramedical sectors, from EQF level 3 to 8, which are active in the Erasmus+ programme.

In France, these courses can be divided into 2 main categories:

  • University health courses: medicine, dental, midwifery, pharmacy
  • Paramedical training: nurse, hospital porter, physiotherapist, health care assistant, pharmacy assistants, rescuer/ambulance crew, health care assistants etc.
