Sport and Skills : Driving Social Change, Creating Opportunities through Erasmus+
Main Info
TCA Description
France hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024. On this occasion numerous initiatives and projects were launched to support educational, social, and professional projects around sport using the various forms of non-formal and informal education. In particular, sports clubs, local authorities, associations and training organizations for those involved in education, youth and sport have mobilized to work in synergy with European partners.
The aim of this TCA is to enable these youth and education stakeholders working with the world of sport to make the most of the opportunity to anchor European cooperation in their practices and curricula, and to share with their counterparts the best way forward for making the “ Olympic and Paralympic Games effect ” bear fruit.
This event will help to develop the skills of those involved in sport, youth and training, to support the implementation of strategies to open up Europe and the rest of the world, through the submission of Erasmus+ projects. It will also contribute to the creation of tools for social inclusion using formal and informal education methods, based on sport not only as a practice, but also as a lever to encourage young people's expression, and in particular their verbalization of the issues and opportunities that concern them, in line with the priorities of Erasmus+ programme.
Mainly to enable cross sectoral mobility projects between organisations that either are active in the sport field (sport organizations), in the training of sport professionals (training organizations – ex sport trainers or teachers), or using sport as an educational and social inclusion tool (social sport, sport for health, sport against racism, sport in community centers etc… ).
