Adapting to Changing Labor Market: Cooperation between Vocational Education and Working Life
Main Info
TCA Description
The seminar "Adapting to Changing Labor Market: Cooperation between Vocational Education and Working Life" aims to explore the integration of working life into vocational education and how this cooperation can address evolving labor market needs. It will bring together 50 participants (20 from Finland and 30 from other countries) involved in vocational education and training (VET), including teaching staff, workplace instructors, planners, and heads of training programs.
Participants will learn about different ways working life is involved in VET, with a particular focus on the Finnish model. The seminar will discuss how cooperation can help align educational programs with workforce demands, ensuring that vocational education remains relevant and responsive to the needs of the labor market.
The seminar will feature presentations on practical applications of cooperation, such as the "Care about IT" project and the use of digital badges in the health care field. These case studies will highlight successful initiatives and provide inspiration for participants to implement similar strategies in their own contexts.
Information on Erasmus+ funding opportunities will be provided, offering participants insights into how they can secure financial support for their projects and initiatives. Interactive workshops and group discussions will allow participants to engage deeply with the topics, share their experiences, and collaboratively develop new strategies for enhancing cooperation between VET and working life.
Company visit is also included in the program, giving participants the chance to see firsthand how vocational education is applied in the workplace. This visit will provide valuable insights into the practical aspects of VET and its impact on the labor market.
The seminar will address the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on working life, exploring how these technologies are transforming vocational education. Discussions will focus on how digital tools can enhance collaboration, guidance, and opportunities within the VET sector.
Promoting sustainable development is another key theme of the seminar. Participants will explore how vocational education can integrate sustainability into educational programs and workplace practices, ensuring that VET contributes to a more sustainable future.
