TCA Description

Themes and goals:

The overall aim of this transnational Nordic seminar is to increase the impact of the Erasmus+ programme, boost engagement in the programme’s international dimension and ensure that organizations from the Nordic countries actively engage in the centralized actions Capacity Building in Higher Education and Capacity Building in the field of Vocational Education and Training. It further aims to provide support to potential applicants and expand on the target groups’ knowledge of Capacity Building through contributions from National Agency staff, project beneficiaries and the European Commission.

The seminar has a cross-sectoral focus and invites stakeholders from higher education and vocational education and training institutions. As such the seminar aims to provide an international platform for stakeholders from different educational sectors to connect, share experiences and establish new networks.

The seminar is arranged by the National Erasmus+ Agencies from Denmark (host), Norway, Finland, Iceland and Sweden.

• Increased awareness of the different opportunities provided in the Capacity Building action

• Deeper knowledge on how to write a successful Capacity Building application with a specific focus on impact

• Exchange of ideas and good practices

• Knowledge sharing with ongoing Capacity Building projects

• Increase cross-sectoral collaboration between HE and VET

• Provide networking opportunities

• Increase Nordic organisations interest in and knowledge of the possibilities for international cooperation with third countries not associated to the programme

• Increased focus on ethical awareness for cooperation with partners

from the global south

• Increased awareness of possible synergies between Erasmus+ actions

Additional information:

The seminar will consist partly of joint sessions as well as sessions divided in the higher education and vocational education and training sectors. Applicants must therefore choose one of the two sectors when applying. Given the complexity of this specific action, the primary target group for this seminar will mainly be applicants with some knowledge of Erasmus+ or similar international cooperation.

Please note that applications are only accepted from organizations located in the Nordic countries.
