TCA Description

Themes and goals:

This activity is linked to the LTA „Long term mobility of school pupils“ coordinated by the Spanish National Agency (ES01) and is co-organized with the National Agencies of France, Germany, Iceland and Malta.

Join us in Bonn for a three-day contact seminar focusing on long-term learning mobility of school pupils. This event marks the fourth and final contact seminar with the framework of the LTA.

The final conference aims to bring together and synthesise the key findings of the LTA, with a particular focus on the impact of long-term learning mobility on pupils and schools. Special attention will be given to educational, personal, and institutional impact.

In addition, the participants will:

  • get to know concrete practice examples of long-term pupil mobility, especially helpful for schools implementing this activity for the first time within an accreditation or short-term project;
  • work together in small groups at thematic tables to discuss common challenges and develop practical solutions they can apply at their own schools;
  • meet potential partners, exchange contact details and start planning future cooperation.

The seminar will include inputs, group work and interactive activities, giving participants many opportunities to share experiences, learn from each other and take home practical ideas for their daily work.

Expected results:

Participants will deepen their understanding of the impact of long-term learning mobility of school pupils at individual and institutional level. The seminar will support participants in identifying, reflecting on and communicating the educational, personal and organisational impact of long-term pupil mobility.

As a result of the seminar, participants are expected to:

  • show increased awareness of the short- and long-term impact of pupil mobility on learners and schools, including learning outcomes, intercultural competence and school development;
  • exchange experiences and approaches to impact-oriented planning, implementation and follow-up of long-term mobility activities;
  • strengthen their capacity to embed long-term mobility sustainably within school strategies.

In addition, the seminar will strengthen networking among schools and teachers. Participants will establish new contacts to support future cooperation and peer exchange. The presentations of good practices will contribute to the development of higher-quality and more impactful long-term mobility projects in the School Education sector.

Additional information:

Travel costs will be reimbursed by each sending National Agency. The German National Agency will book and pay single hotel rooms for every participant. All meals during the seminar are covered by the German National Agency.

We expect all participants to participate in the full programme. If you exceptionally need to leave before the programme is finished, this should be approved by the German NA prior to participation.
