Training Objectives
- Boost the participation of Roma youth in the educational process – both formal and non-formal;
- Encourage active civic engagement of Roma communities;
- Help participants gain knowledge about their rights, responsibilities, and duties as European citizens;
- Develop hands-on skills for working with funding bodies – including planning, preparing, running, and reporting on projects;
- Learn how to identify and validate results from non-formal and self-directed learning;
- Spark reflection on European values and themes;
- Explore tools on how to support the inclusion of Roma communities enrolment in European projects.

- The legal and funding frameworks for Roma integration;
- Working in multicultural settings – exchanging good practices for engaging young people, students, and parents, including national-specific approaches;
- Mentoring, coaching and volunteering – effective models for collaboration between youth workers, educators, parents, students, and mediators;
- Tackling aggression and boosting motivation;
- Inspiring motivation for participation in Erasmus+ and ESC projects – with concrete examples and success stories;
- Tools to include Roma community in European projects.

- Clear understanding of the rules and requirements of Erasmus+ and ESC programmes;
- Enhanced skills in identifying and addressing the needs of Roma communities;

Training Focus
The training will focus on methods to inspire and engage young people from Roma backgrounds in both formal and non-formal education, as well as in social life. This goal will be achieved through a four-day cross-sectoral training event, which will provide in-depth insight into the tools and opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). The aim is to support the effective inclusion of Roma communities and to equip participants with practical skills for facilitating integration.
The training is targeted at:
- Youth organisations;
- Organisations working with people with fewer opportunities;
- Vocational schools and high schools;
- Informal youth groups.
Partners and participants
Representatives of Youth organisations, Organisations working with people with fewer opportunities, Vocational schools and high schools, Informal youth groups, NGOs from Bulgaria, Portugal, Serbia, and North Macedonia with little or no experience in working with Roma Minority or those who have a not or who may have faced challenges in their previous interactions with people from a Roma background
