Mobility and Diversity: Erasmus+ in Higher Education Strategies - Data, Communication & Practice
Main Info
TCA Description
This networking and peer-learning event explores how HEI can make Erasmus+ mobility and internationalization more inclusive, accessible, and strategically embedded within institutional development.
Bringing together participants from Austria and Croatia, the event creates a space for exchange between representatives from HEI working in internationalization, student support services, diversity and inclusion, and higher education management. Participants will explore how Erasmus+ and other mobility programmes can contribute to reaching and supporting a more diverse student population.
Particular attention will be given to communication and outreach strategies that help Higher Education Institutions reach students from diverse backgrounds, address barriers to participation, and make opportunities with Erasmus+ more visible and accessible.
The event will showcase different national approaches to the social dimension, inclusive mobility, and internationalization, while creating space to discuss shared challenges and possible solutions. Combining insights from higher education practice, recent European developments, and contributions from the ACA Thematic Peer Group (TPG) Inclusion, the event brings together data, policy, and institutional practice.
Participants will exchange good practices, reflect on institutional strategies, and explore approaches for strengthening inclusion and diversity in Erasmus+ mobility and internationalization efforts. The event also aims to foster cooperation and peer learning between HEI in Austria and Croatia while encouraging future collaboration at the European level.
By the end of the event, participants will:
- gain insights into current developments related to inclusive mobility and the social dimension of higher education
- learn from institutional practices and experiences from Austria, Croatia, and across Europe
- exchange ideas and approaches for strengthening inclusion and diversity in mobility programmes and internationalization strategies
- develop practical ideas for communication and outreach activities that help engage a more diverse range of students in Erasmus+ mobility, including through the collaborative design of a mini campaign
- expand their professional networks and identify opportunities for future cooperation and peer learning
The event starts on the afternoon of 21 October, with the programme beginning at 15:00. It concludes on 22 October with a joint networking dinner in the evening.
The Austrian National Agency will cover accommodation for two nights, as well as all meals and social programme activities for all participants.
The event will take place at FH JOANNEUM in Graz, which is within walking distance of Graz main railway station. Accommodation will be organized by the Austrian National Agency at a hotel located close to the event venue.
