This Erasmus+ contact seminar addresses the programme priority Digital Transformation, with a strong focus on strengthening digital competences and supporting the meaningful integration of innovative technologies in Vocational Education and Training (VET). It aims to empower VET school staff to use digital tools, artificial intelligence, and technology-enhanced approaches both in their Erasmus+ projects and in everyday school practice.
The main objectives of the seminar are to:
- enhance the digital and AI competencies of VET school staff by exploring current trends and practical applications of digital transformation
- improve Erasmus+ project quality through the effective use of digital tools, platforms and AI in project design and implementation
- support the development of new mobility projects and partnerships between European VET schools
- promote the use of European platforms, including eTwinning and the European School Education Platform (ESEP), as well as blended mobility formats
- strengthen international cooperation among VET schools by facilitating networking, partner matching and the exchange of innovative practices
Around 45 participants from across Europe will come together to exchange ideas, learn from good practices and develop new Erasmus+ project initiatives that strengthen digital competences, AI literacy and innovative practices in VET schools.
The programme includes:
- keynotes and practical workshops
- exchange of best practices and successful project examples
- space for developing new Erasmus+ project ideas
- opportunities to build and expand a European network
- study visits and excursions focusing on digital learning environments and Erasmus+ project work in practice
By the end of the seminar, participants will:
- have developed new project ideas and identified potential partner institutions for Erasmus+ mobility projects (KA121, KA122) and Cooperation projects (KA2), with an emphasis on Small-scale Partnerships (KA210) related to digital skills, AI and innovation in VET schools
- gain practical tools, methods and inspiration to integrate digital tools, AI-based approaches and innovative technologies into both their project work and everyday school practice
- be familiar with opportunities for digital collaboration through eTwinning, ESEP and blended mobility formats
The seminar begins on Sunday, 25 January, in the late afternoon with networking activities, followed by a joint welcome dinner. Full seminar days are scheduled for Monday, 26 January and Tuesday, 27 January, concluding with a farewell dinner on Tuesday evening. Departures are planned for the morning of Wednesday, 28 January, after breakfast.
Full participation throughout the seminar is expected.
The Austrian National Agency will cover accommodation for three nights (25-27 January) at Hotel Altstadt in Vienna, which is also the seminar venue. All meals and the social programme during the seminar are included.
Partners and participants
Teachers and trainers from VET schools (iVET) and Erasmus+ project coordinators interested in AI, digital skills and international exchange. Participants seeking to explore digital tools and innovative technologies for VET schools, develop new partnerships for Erasmus+ mobility projects (KA1) and cooperation projects (KA2), and engage in digital collaboration through eTwinning, ESEP and blended mobility formats.
