Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCAs) are tools for National Agencies (NAs) to form partnerships and to contribute to achieving the aims of the Erasmus+ programme.
TCAs are organized by Erasmus+ National Agencies with the purpose of bringing added value and increasing the overall quality of the Erasmus+ programme.
TCAs can be workshops, seminars and other types of events or activities (such as research) that focus on sharing good practices, lessons learnt and provide networking opportunities amongst Erasmus+ stakeholders, to increase the impact of the Erasmus+ programme at systemic level.
According to the Guide for Erasmus+ National Agencies, NAs may organise the following activities in transnational cooperation in the field of education and training:
Transnational training, support and contact seminars of potential Erasmus+ Programme participants;
Transnational thematic activities linked to the objectives, priority target groups and themes of the Erasmus+ Programme.
Transnational evidence based analysis of Programme results.
The annual TCA Officers’ Meeting was conducted on 29-30 May 2018 in Budapest with the participation of 56 representatives from Erasmus+ National Agencies from 34 European countries.
In different interactive sessions, participants discussed the project cycle of TCAs from the aspects of planning and promotion; selection and realization; follow up and dissemination.
TCA officers shared best practices with each other and listened to a presentation about learning outcomes. The audience could benefit from the key messages delivered by the representative of SALTO Youth Training and Cooperation Resource Centre. Planning of TCAs for 2019 was also on the Agenda as well as the introduction of the IT Platform and its functionalities.
