Recognition and Validation of International Activities in SE
Main Info
TCA Description
This TCA explores how learning outcomes from international mobilities and cooperation are assessed and integrated into the learning and professional pathways of SE students and teachers, educators across Europe. Building on best practices, the event focuses on the institutional and policy-level mechanisms that support the validation and recognition of mobility experiences.
For students, the discussions will centre around the academic recognition of learning outcomes achieved abroad, the role of the Europass certificate, and how these outcomes influence further studies and employability. For teachers and educators, the focus will be on how mobility and international cooperation experiences (e.g. job shadowing, courses, realisation of projects, and activities) are taken into account in performance evaluation, career development, and financial or credit-based reward systems.
The overarching goal is not to create a new framework, but to better understand how current learning outcome-based approaches are used and valued in partner countries, thereby contributing to more transparent, effective, and meaningful Erasmus+ projects across Europe.
- The primary goal is to map the best practices on internationalization that have been elaborated and implemented in EU member states and partner countries, as well as focus on the recognition of learners and teachers’ learning outcomes.
- The secondary goal is to discuss the methodology and the aspects of recognition. Regarding the learners, we want to know whether education system and schools recognize and validate both formal and non-formal learning outcomes and assess soft and transversal skills and competences. Regarding the teachers, we want to discuss whether international activities are the part of the teacher further training system, the teacher evaluation and grading system, it is the part of the school assessment or that of the career path.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for participants, through structured discussions and networking sessions, to establish valuable connections, enhancing long-term collaborations and impactful partnerships.
The event will bring an overall picture on the recognition on learners and teachers’ learning outcomes and received competences.
The participants will be able to define their state in EU, develop opportunities in their own institutions, adapt best practices in their school to improve the institute.
The event will provide a list of best practices on recognition process from different countries.
The TCA programme starts at about 17:00 CET on 7 December and finishes at about 14:00 on 9 December. The HU01 NA will cover meals and accommodation as follows: Two nights of accommodation (7, 8 December) and all meals.
